What is the video production process?
-
Content PlanningThe first thing is simply getting on the same page with the customer to make sure we’re producing what they need to meet their goals. This concept planning meeting typically only takes about 30-minutes to 1-hour and can be done in person or over the phone. This typically includes an outline of the video, subject matter discussions, production schedules, etc. This will also give us a better idea of what the total cost might be.
-
Pre-ProductionNext, we start to assemble all the things we’ll need during the shoot. This can take anywhere from 1-2 hours. Preparations include Create any necessary shot lists, write necessary scripts or interview questions and prepare equipment (checking/testing the camera, lights, media cards, tripod).
-
ProductionPrimary production is when we are on site, preparing scenes, lighting, sound and shooting the customers video. This can sometimes happen in a few hours, or a few days. Which is what makes this the biggest variable when it comes to pricing and why Concept Meetings are so crucial to keep customer costs down.

Post-ProductionPost-Production consists of logging of the raw video, voice-overs, music beds, animations (titles, lower-thirds, etc), graphics, sound production and then wrap.
